From the 18th to the 20th of October 2012, the University of St Gallen is proud to once again host the Emerge conference. Now in its 5th year, the Emerge conference is the premier student-run conference on emerging markets worldwide, with an extremely competitive application process resulting in the 150 most motivated, able and impressive student candidates from across the globe being invited to take part in workshops, keynote speeches and networking events involving academic experts and brilliant personalities from the professional world.
Since its conception, the central aim of the Emerge conference has been to provide students with up-to-date and relevant information on emerging markets and the newest trends. We pride ourselves on originality and forward-thinking, and in light of our mission statement and the current global economic upheaval, the 2012 Emerge conference has been expanded to include a focus on the ‘Next 11’ economies.
Successful applicants may come from different backgrounds, cultures and university programs, but will be united by a common passion for emerging markets, enthusiasm for taking part in debate, and an interest in learning more about the topic and meeting new people.
